✦ Echoes of Silence
✦ Echoes of Silence
A Small Haiku Journal
✦ Preface
Haiku is the art of seeing —
a single moment held still,
where nature whispers
what the heart cannot.
This journal gathers three paths:
sorrow, mystery, and light.
Each path is brief,
yet endless in its echo.
Part I: Fallen Shadows
(Haiku of Sorrow)
1.
Falling autumn leaves,
hearts scatter with the silence,
no dawn to return.
2.
Soft rain on my face,
yet the sorrow will not fade —
a shadow remains.
3.
A broken half-moon,
searching through the heavy clouds
for a friend it lost.
4.
Evening wind arrives,
opening my window wide,
leaving nothing there.
5.
Morning sun appears,
washing all the night away,
I am born again.
Part II: Silent Symbols
(Haiku of Mystery)
1.
A lone dark cloud drifts,
the mountain does not answer,
shadows fade to dusk.
2.
River on a stone —
names of countless passersby
washed into silence.
3.
Almond tree in bloom,
whispers hide among the petals,
a secret unseen.
4.
Broken silver moon,
half sinks into the still lake,
half remains in sky.
5.
Northern wind scatters
ashes over empty fields —
the night softly smiles.
Part III: Toward the Dawn
(Haiku of Renewal)
1.
Deep and silent night,
a single step in the dark
searches for the dawn.
2.
Faint horizon glow,
the silence begins to breathe —
morning almost here.
3.
Spring wind through the grass,
lifting the weight of the earth,
soft laughter returns.
4.
First ray of sunlight
breaks open the heavy sky —
all shadows retreat.
5.
In the rising sun
my hands feel strangely lighter,
as if they are new.
✦ Closing
Every shadow falls,
every silence finds its voice —
in the light of dawn.
